Apologies. But here is a List of Awesome Finds

Heyyy. Sorry for the current MIA status. I got compromised in homework and more work. ("never begging for a paycheck").

I will be posting blog posts at random times until the summer. School is almost over so I have some pockets in time in which I will be posting some stuff.

In other news: I have been finding awesome stores online and getting some cool deals off of Etsy. The list goes as follows:

1. LttleShopofHorrors: With the motto "accessories for the alternative chick"; this store holds a variation of punk, psychobilly, and horror themed accessories for females who like to rock it. I bought the zombie bait necklace and got this hair pin with it. I wore it to work and got a nice compliment. 

2. FunDotDot: A bracelet store based in Illinois, Chicago this store houses leather bracelets in different styles. Some involve a play in graphics and others are just colorful. I actually bought one with studs that had simple graphics on it. If you love leather bracelets, you will dig this store. Plus, they are sold at affordable prices. Durable+affordable= worth it. FYI: boys, you can also check out this store for your own accessory tastes. 

3. ModifyU: I have a thing for creative gauges. If you stretch out your ears to whatever size it is, I think you should accessorize them in style. And this one sells just the right ones.  I haven't bought from here yet, but I am planning to what with affordable prices and crazy colors and all. This store's guages are all made in polymer clay and they even have a few fake guages. The only con is that the store doesn't take custom listings.

4. HomeStudio: I don't know if you have noticed but lately there has been a trend of scrabble tile pendants. Just plain creative and there are so many stores out there in cyberspace doing these necklaces. I am not aware how this trend came about but I do recommend checking this one. The images on their scrabble tile necklaces are cute, fun, and sometimes even funny. They do receive custom sales so don't knock it until you try it. 

5. WillsTshirts: Love old shows such as Xena the Warrior Princess, Roswell, Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Well  if you do: you will love this store. "Will Sandy" the Etsy owner of this Etsy shop sells shirts with images of the aforementioned shows along with keychains and tote bags. 

Again, my apologies for being MIA but I do hope you find these finds cool enough to invest or at least spread the word.

Random Finds: Etsy Finds#3

Hey and a ding-bang-boo!

Just recently I found this awesome store on Etsy that was just too rock-ing-li-cious. I have to share. (excuse my girly-ness).

I always loved the idea of putting buttons of things you liked (i.e bands, funny sayings, icons) on bags, clothing, bookbags, maybe even shoes. Thus, my constant search of finding and buying buttons (along with patches) on Etsy, Amazon, and other online stores.

And thus, the awesome find on an Etsy store called Necromance Theatre. Owned by a college student who goes by the Etsy username of "Princess", Necromance Theatre holds listings of pins, brooches, and necklaces with images of alternative bands and artists edited in photoshop.

The pins are a bit overpriced, what with one being $3 (plus the shipping). However, when purchasing more than one item, shipping is free.

As for the necklaces, they are pretty darn awesome since the pendants are shaped like guitar picks annnnnd they can be used by men and women. I definitelye, absolutely, and outrageously (MAHA!) recommend checking out her store if you are looking to get a $10 or less accessory for the bands you love. After all, there is nothing wrong with expressing your fandom.

Working Outfit (Guys) [Screw the Heat Part 2.]

Sorry to be MIA again been busy with work and brainstorming ideas for this blog. (BTW: thank you so much for continuing to follow my blog and sticking with it. keep rocking!)

So, I was able to find some good finds for guys. This outfit right here is plain but hey, you can show that alternative-styling spunk with accessories. Sometimes, places where you work at might not be cool with graphic shirts (a bit sucky though). So why not put on a light black blazer with some rolled up sleeves, crisp pair of jeans (make sure to iron!!!) a white shirt, and a pair of black vans or converses.

It's hot so you might want to splash up some color so you don't cook under the sun while being on the go. And if you know you gotta keep it conservative you can always get a small one-row studded bracelet or maybe even a nice bracelet like the one you see on the left.

Believe it or not I found this baby at Hot Topic's online website along with other great bracelets for less than 10 bucks. It's not bad and it will last you longer than 2 months. I found more than the usual great 3, so please don't hesitate just because some hipsters got caught on to Hot Topic. It still has some great finds, and no one has to know, right? (*wink wink*)

Etsy Discovery Galore Numero #2

Ghostlove Shop Icon! 

Being on Etsy I am finding some delicious looking shops and some of them find me through my Etsy activity feed. The other day I found an awesome Gothic couture shop called GhostLove Jewelry with wonderful models in hot gothic outfits. The shop is owned and founded by Dawn Rozakis since June 2008. Since then she has sold over 3000 accessories. (Talk about a hit!) Looking through the awesome handmade (!!!) accessories, I had to find out more about this wonderful creator of such marvelous Gothic goodies. Here is an interview, an attempt or rather quest for more more more! Enjoy at your will (*evil laugh cough cough*)..

1. What is your inspiration for making your jewelry?

I derive most of my inspiration from gothic and macabre art, the occult, and history.

2. What do you do when you get "art-blocked"?

I try to browse some of my “muse” blogs or go see an art exhibit if I am really uninspired for some reason.

3. What brought you the idea of selling on etsy?

I was originally a customer on etsy and loved the idea of buying handmade directly from the artist. I decided to open a shop when I started my jewelry line as a way to “test” my designs out in the marketplace before I launched ghostlove.com.

4. When you are not making new accessories and selling them on etsy, you are....?

Well, I am shamefully addicted to tumblr, so you can usually find me there wasting time. Otherwise I am working on stories or music.

5. Any tattoos to be proud of?

Nope. No tattoos on my body. I used to have nipples rings by I took them out recently.

6. favorite mythical creature?

I love the idea of a babel fish, although that is not technically mythical.

7. combat boots or a corset?

Definitely combat boots lately…but I have been known to rock a ribcage corset from Louise Black.

8. Favorite bands/ books?

Lately I’ve been really into Austra, Zoe Keating, and Cults but my favorite band is New Model Army.

Don’t have a favorite book, but I just read J-Pod and it was awesome.

9. What's a tip you would give to a potential etsy seller?

Keep in mind that there are now millions of etsy shops, all competing for eyes. Make sure your product has a good description, great photos and competitive pricing.

10. What is something daring you would want to do?

I would like to go backpacking across Asia with my beau.

11. Anarchy or rebellion?

Definitely rebellion. There is always a massive concentration of human energy lurking just below the surface of everyday life that has the power to change the world. Sometimes I can actually feel it and it sort of wakes me up inside.
